The Desoto County Sherriffs office neglects to honor veterans who have given their blood for this country by not upholding their end of a bargain. This can be evidenced in the HBO Documentary War Dog, where they refuse to return Mika a K9 to her original handler who was with a Army Ranger in Afghanistan when the Ranger was shot. In this documentary one key phrase that was said is “yeah she was officially retired on paper last month”, clearly showing they delayed a process to benefit their officer and not the Army Ranger. The attitude of the of Officer Paul Leslie and his wife is that of people who do not understand the sacrifice men give to ensure their freedom.
Selfish Department has no respect for our military and their K9’s. Leslie takes them, ties them to trees in his backyard then sells the K9’s like they’re pets, pocketing the cash. This department should be investigated and issuing any equipment or K9’s to this department should be under heavy scrutiny. Of course the community just turns a blind eye because if they complain this department will go after them like they did to Leslie’s neighbor. Had her arrested and strip searched degrading her. That’s bullying and harassment. The mafia does this kind of stuff.
I can’t wait to see you post all the BS nonsense of “thanks for your service” on Veterans Day and Memorial Day...We all know it will be hollow.
Paul Leslie, only got promoted only through the hard work of Mika a special forces warrior who was trained by Sgt. Dixon. Who only lost Mika due to a gunshot wound during an ambush. While that overweight deputy and his overweight wife treated Mika like property, and the lame excuses from the Sheriff and his department, it’s clear from timing of the retirement it was only to run this war hero into the ground to receive another free 4 legged warrior brother in arms. SAD.

Shameful and disrespectful actions by Paul Leslie, his wife, Bill Rasco, Governor of Mississippi, and many others involved in keeping Mika away from Army Ranger John Dixon. These people have brought embarrassment and dishonesty to the DeSoto Sheriffs Department. Paul Leslie should be fired.
